The Canadian Albacore Association is responsible for organizing the annual Canadian Championship Regatta. The first event was held in Windermere, Ontario in 1961.
Responsibility for hosting this event is given to different clubs around the country, as chosen by the CAA. The date and location of the event is typically published at the start of the sailing season.
