Albacore Racing

Albacore racing is among the best "one-design" sailboat racing in Canada. Our sailors are incredibly competitive, skilled, and dedicated.

Regional, provincial, national, and international Albacore events happen throughout the year. The 2015 International Albacore Championship was won by Toronto sailors George Carter and Almir Tavares (who we congratulate heartily :) ).

In racing there's something for sailors at every level. There's no better way for the beginner to improve their skills. Many clubs run weekly "skill building" sessions and "vice" regattas, so no matter your experience, don't pass up the opportunity to take part in this fun and challenging sport! And after we race we share our stories and toast our victories!

The CAA also runs several educational workshops throughout the year. Watch for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced clinics in your region to learn tuning, technique, and tactics from some of the best racers and teachers in Canada!

For upcoming race events in your region, check the CAA Events Calendar.
