The following adventure tale is exerpted from the 1965 CAA Year Book. Albacores were relatively new to Canada at that point (the first having been brought over from England around 1958) but the 4th Annual Canadian Championships were held that summer at Windermere on Lake Muskoka, with 72 boats participating! (Killarney Adventurer John Lash tied for 12th.) Thank you to George Roth for archiving and to Frank Loritz for scanning! Graham has done some work on the subscriber system, so please sign up here if you want an email alert because we will be using that system in the future. We are always looking for material - if you would like to share a good story, some beginner, intermediate or expert tips, a poem, a picture, or a video, please send it along!
